Answers to the questions clients most often ask about working with Steve Ircha, wealth management advisor at Aegis Capital Corp. in Bronxville, NY. Don’t see your question? Call Steve at 917-561-5288.

Who is Steve Ircha?

Steve Ircha, J.D., is a wealth management advisor and Senior Managing Director at Aegis Capital Corp. in Bronxville, New York. He has helped individual, family and institutional clients invest since June 1986. Steve earned a degree in International Business from New York University, a Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School, and completed the Owner/President Management program at Harvard Business School. He has been named a Five Star Wealth Manager from 2014 to 2026.

Where is your office?

Our office is at 26 Paxton Avenue, 2nd floor, Bronxville, NY 10708, in Westchester County. Clients meet with Steve in person at the office, by phone, or outside the office when needed.

What services do you offer?

We offer wealth management, retirement planning, investment management, fixed income (including municipal and U.S. Treasury bond ladders and corporate bonds), income investing, annuities and insurance, and access to investment banking offerings that Aegis Capital brings to market. Clients can invest in stocks, bonds, ETFs, mutual funds, REITs, money markets, CDs and retirement accounts.

Who do you work with?

We work with affluent families, corporate executives, business owners and newly liquid founders, retirees and pre-retirees, non-profit organizations and endowments, and professional athletes and entertainers. Most clients are in Bronxville and throughout Westchester County, and we also work with clients beyond the area.

How do you help with retirement planning?

We help clients turn savings into dependable retirement income through income planning, bond ladders, income-focused portfolios, 401(k) and IRA rollover reviews, annuities, and beneficiary and Transfer on Death planning coordinated with their CPA and estate attorney.

How are you paid?

Aegis Capital offers both brokerage accounts, which are generally commission-based, and investment advisory accounts, which are generally fee-based. Which structure fits depends on your needs, and all costs are explained before you invest. Aegis Capital’s Form CRS describes these services and fees in detail.

Where are my assets held?

Aegis Capital clears its business through RBC Correspondent Services. Client accounts carry SIPC protection, plus excess SIPC coverage purchased from Lloyd’s of London. SIPC protection does not cover losses from changes in market value.

Are you independent?

Yes. We are not tied to proprietary products, so recommendations are based on what fits each client’s goals rather than a product shelf.

Do you work with non-profits and endowments?

Yes. We partner with charitable boards, hospitals, schools and cultural institutions to manage reserve funds with an emphasis on yield and safety, and we help their donors with tax-efficient gifts of appreciated assets.

What is a Transfer on Death (TOD) designation?

A TOD designation names who will receive an investment account when the owner dies. The assets generally pass directly to the named beneficiaries without going through probate, and the owner keeps full control during their lifetime and can change the designation at any time.

Can a church, synagogue or charity be named as a TOD beneficiary?

Yes. A member can name a qualified non-profit as a full or partial TOD beneficiary of an investment account, alongside family members if they wish. Steve works with congregations and non-profits to explain legacy giving to their members. Learn more on our Legacy Giving page.

Do you work with my estate attorney on trusts?

Yes. Steve coordinates with your estate attorney and CPA to open, fund and invest trust accounts, including revocable, irrevocable, special needs and insurance trusts. Aegis Capital does not provide tax or legal advice or draft legal documents.

When I call, will I reach Steve himself?

Is this a family business?

Yes. Steve and his wife, Jane, a registered representative holding the Series 7, 63, 65 and 66 licenses, own the Bronxville practice together.
